- Work Experience: 2,000 hours of supervised work experience.
- Supervised Hours: 300-hour Chemical Dependency Counseling Practicum covering 12 Core Functions (minimum 10 hours each): Screening, Intake, Orientation, Assessment, Treatment Planning, Counseling, Case Management, Crisis Intervention, Client Education, Referral, Reports and Recordkeeping, and Consultation.
- State Exam: Passing score on the IC&RC AADC examination.
