Texas requires 100 hours of criminal justice-specific education for the Certified Criminal Justice Addictions Professional (CCJP) credential at the Master’s degree level (or CCS/MAC/NASW holders), including a minimum of 6 hours in criminal justice ethics. This CEU Matrix 100-hour package provides full coverage of the requirement.
Education must cover 4 CCJP core skill functions (minimum 10 hours each):

Certification Requirements
- Education Required: Master’s degree in Human Services or Behavioral Sciences, or current CCS, MAC, or NASW certification.
- Work Experience: 2,000 hours of direct services in criminal justice/addiction services.
- Supervised Hours: 80-hour practicum (minimum 10 hours in each of the 4 CCJP core skill areas).
- State Exam: Passing scores on the IC&RC ADC exam and the IC&RC Supplemental CCJP exam.
