Georgia CADC Certification Requirements and Course Package
This course package offers substantial savings versus purchasing the courses individually. Courses are taken at your convenience, there is no time limit, and everything is done online. If you have any other questions please call John Tinsley at (512) 843-0866.
What This Package Covers
Georgia requires 50 hours of A&D education covering the IC&RC 12 Core Functions for the CADC-T. CEU Matrix’s Georgia CADC-T package covers all 50 required hours, with the following required topic minimum included:
- Professional Ethics (6 hours)
Please see the “Package Contents” section below for the complete list of courses included in this package.
Certification Requirements
- Education Required: High school diploma or GED.
- Work Experience: No work experience required.
- Supervised Hours: 30 hours of clinical supervision, minimum 2 hours in each of the 12 Core Functions. At least 25% of supervision must be one-on-one.
- State Exam: No exam is required.
Important Notes
The CADC-T is a non-reciprocal, endorsement-only transitional credential with no independent scope of practice. Holders must work within a licensed agency or state-sponsored program under ongoing supervision from an ADACBGA-approved clinical supervisor. The CADC-T must be converted to a CADC-I, CADC-II, or CAADC within 3 years. The 50 training hours earned with the CADC-T count toward the 300 hours required for CADC-I or CADC-II certification.
Renewal Requirements
Renews annually for up to 3 years maximum. By end of year 2: 200 CE hours and 100 clinical supervision hours accumulated. By end of year 3 (or at application): 300 CE hours and 200 clinical supervision hours (minimum 50 supervision hours per year). Goal is to qualify for CADC-I, CADC-II, or CAADC within the 3-year period.
