Certification Requirements
- Education Required: Must hold an active CADC, CADC-I, CADC-II, or CAADC credential at IC&RC reciprocal level (prerequisite).
- Work Experience: 2,000 hours of supervised work experience in a criminal justice addictions setting.
- Supervised Hours: Included in the required 2,000 hours of work experience — no separate supervised practical training (SPT) requirement for CCJP.
- State Exam: Passing score on the IC&RC CCJP exam.
Important Notes
Prerequisite: active IC&RC-reciprocal CADC/CADC-I/CADC-II/CAADC required before applying for CCJP. Work experience must be within the last 10 years. Supervisor must hold CCJP.
Renewal Requirements
40 hours CE every 2 years (including 2 hours ethics and 2 hours Person-Centered Planning).
