Missouri Renewal Package (20 hours)

Click “Course Listing” at the top of our homepage, select Missouri from the map, then choose your credential level or “All Available Courses.” All courses shown are MCB-approved for Missouri counselors working toward MAADC I, MAADC II, CADC, CRADC, or CRAADC credentials. 

We offer several money-saving options:

Plus, we offer specialized credential packages with significant savings for initial certification requirements. 

Courses are available immediately with credit card payment in your Student Center under “My Courses.” For renewal packages, you’ll receive credits to select individual courses. 

Missouri places no restrictions on the number of hours you can complete through distance learning, unlike many states that limit online education. This means you can complete your entire education requirement (90 hours for MAADC II, 180 hours for CADC, 300 hours for CRADC, or 180 hours for CRAADC) through CEU Matrix online courses without needing to find in-person training. 

• MAADC I (Missouri Associate Alcohol & Drug Counselor I): Entry-level credential requiring minimal education (3 hours of ethics training). Designed for those beginning their career in addiction counseling under supervision. 

• MAADC II (Missouri Associate Alcohol & Drug Counselor II): Associate-level credential requiring 90 hours of education including 3 hours of ethics, plus supervised work experience. Foundation credential for building toward higher certifications. 

• CADC (Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor): Professional credential requiring 180 hours of education including 6 hours of ethics, plus supervised work experience and passing the IC&RC ADC exam. Provides expanded practice capabilities and IC&RC reciprocity benefits. 

• CRADC (Certified Reciprocal Alcohol & Drug Counselor): Advanced credential requiring 300 hours of education including 6 hours of ethics, plus additional work experience and examination. Provides enhanced IC&RC reciprocity benefits for interstate practice mobility. 

• CRAADC (Certified Reciprocal Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor): Highest level requiring master’s degree with clinical application, 180 hours of education including 6 hours of ethics, and extensive work experience. Allows advanced practice and supervision capabilities. 

We’ve designed specific packages for Missouri requirements: 

• MAADC I Package: Covers the 3 hours of ethics training required for entry-level certification 

• MAADC II Package: Provides the 90 hours required including ethics and foundational addiction content

Missouri requires at least 20 hours of education to be completed within the last year for initial certification, plus specific ethics requirements. CEU Matrix clearly identifies which courses meet the recent education requirements.

Yes, you can retake any CEU Matrix exam multiple times at no additional cost. Exams are scored immediately online, and you can print your certificate of completion as soon as you pass. 

No, there’s no time limit on CEU Matrix courses. The system tracks your credits automatically, so you can work at your own pace 24/7 from anywhere with internet access while meeting Missouri’s requirements. 

Your CEU Matrix Student Center under “My Courses” has all certificates for immediate download/printing. These certificates are specifically formatted for Missouri MCB applications and include all required information for your credential submissions. 

Missouri credentials require 40 hours of continuing education every odd year (renewals occur in October), including: 

• 6 hours of professional ethics (required for most credentials) 

• Up to 40 hours can be completed through distance learning 

• First-time renewals may have individualized hour requirements based on when you initially received your credential
